March is here and I’m loving all of the spring trends. We have had the least snowy winter of my lifetime in Connecticut, so anything bright, cheery, and floral is where I want to be. These are the spring trends I’m loving lately.

Loving 38 Must Read Books of Spring, especially hoping to read The Kingdom of Prep: The Inside Story of the Rise and (Near) Fall of J.Crew.

Spring Style Trends 2023

FINALLY – this spring I’m seeing classic trends from my youth that don’t make me cringe. I love the return of the classic trench coat (reminds me of my Mom), bucket hat, and Adidas Sambas. If you know me – I won’t actually buy most of these items and just wish I kept my favorite AF cargo pants.
Some spring style trends I can easily replicate with items from my closet: quiet luxury (which simply means understated style), big handbags, and linen blends.
What to Watch on TV this Spring
There are a lot of great series and specials on tv this spring. Here is what I’m watching (and loving!) lately:
- Yellowjackets – Season 2 (Showtime)
- School Spirit (Paramount +) – I am loving this show about high school senior wakes up as a ghost trapped in her high school and has to solve her own murder.
- Daisy Jones and the Six (Prime Video) – I own the book and haven’t read it yet – and only watched a little bit of the first episode – but know everyone else says its a must-watch.
- Succession – Season 4 (HBO) – Once I finish Season 3 I will be all over this show about the very wealthy Roy family, owners of media conglomerate and magnet for drama/corrupt storylines.
- Shadow and Bone – Season 2 (Netflix) – Just finished this and I’m so sad it’s over! It’s based on a famous YA novel series about an orphan with magical powers needed to save the world.
- The Last Thing He Told Me (Apple +) – On my radar
- Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies (Paramount +) – On my radar
- Saint X (Hulu) – On my radar

Spring Cooking Trends
It’s always exciting to learn one of your favorite items – SALT – has you ahead of the trends. Boutique salts and salt blends are the talk of the kitchen this spring. Another one of my must-eats is Pasta and it’s the ‘comfort food of 2023.’ Plant based alternatives (you know I love my DF foods!) and retro foods of your childhood (mmm Easy Mac’) are also on this list of Food and Drink Trends for 2023.
As we move from hearty dishes to light bites, there are so many spring recipes I love to make. Who doesn’t enjoy a Strawberry Stuffed French Toast for brunch? I would need to try this recipe dairy free! Asparagus is a family favorite ingredient, so I hope to make a Spring Panzanella or Asparagus and Red Pepper Quiche for our next Sunday dinner.
