- Walk or bike a new trail – We love exploring the Farmington Canal Greenway State Park Trail. If you don’t have a local walking/biking trail, check out the New England Rail Trail for more information.
- Pick Your Own Flowers – There are several pick-your-own flower farms in Connecticut – but Wicked Tulips in Preston, CT is on radar. I signed up for an email alert as to when it opens for the season so I can purchase tickets to visit.
- Plan a Picnic – My daughters love picnics in new places. Pack your favorite picnic foods in a tote or grab a Happy Meal and head to a park for lunch.
- Visit the Baby Animals – There are so many places to see farm animals during the spring. We love to visit Brooksvale Park (Hamden) or Farmer Joe’s (Wallingford). Check out the best Petting Zoos in Connecticut or do a quick search for family friendly farms near you.
- Go for a Hike – One of the best parts about living in New England is the abundance of family-friendly hiking trails. Sleeping Giant State Park (Hamden) and Wadsworth Falls State Park (Middletown) are right by us!
- Museums & Science Centers – Don’t let a rainy day stop your spring fun! Visit the multi-level Connecticut Science Center (Hartford) or Kidcity Children’s Museum (Middletown) for hours of interactive fun.
