What Our Family Is Looking Forward to This Summer
When I first created this bucket list in 2022, Annabelle and Ailey were still little enough that a trip to the playground could fill an entire afternoon and a popsicle was the highlight of their day. Arbor was not yet crawling and content to watch her sisters play on the playground. Now Annabelle is on the cusp of seventh grade, Ailey is approaching 1-0 and Arbor is… Arbor… and summer feels completely different.
The big sisters at 12 and 9 years old are becoming more independent, more social, and often more interested in making plans with friends than tagging along on a family adventure. As bittersweet as that can be, it has made me appreciate summer in a new way. I know our years of family of 5 vacations, late-night bike rides, backyard movie nights, and spontaneous day trips won’t last forever. Every summer seems to move a little faster than the one before it.
This year, we’re looking forward to slowing down when we can, saying yes to more adventures, and making the most of the time we have together before another school year begins. Some of the activities on this bucket list are traditions we’ve loved for years, while others are new ideas we can’t wait to try.
No matter how old your kids are, I hope this list inspires you to soak up the sunshine, make a few memories, and enjoy the magic that summer always seems to bring.

Hi Caitlin,
I am the new manager of the Sacred Heart University Community Theatre in Fairfield, CT. One part of my job is creating unique family events, we are trying to do these events on Sundays.
We just officially opened this past September and I have only been there 6 months.
Our first event is an adorable dog show that tours the country and even performed for the White House. All the dogs were rescued and then trained to do amazing and fun tricks.
After these last two years it really is exactly what families are looking for. Since we are so new I was wondering if you would help me share it to your followers. I want to bring smiles to as many little faces as I can.
I would love to send you the links if it is allowed.
I also have a video if you would like me to send you that.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
