From homemade bread to pastel sweaters, plus a sneak peek at our kitchen renovation, here is everything I’m loving on my Friday Favorites.
The weekend is almost here, so close I can smell it. Before we get there, I have two doctors appointments, a Trader Joe’s run, and blog content to shoot. I’m hoping to get some clarity on my migraines from a specialist this afternoon (if you follow my stories you know it’s been a month of headaches). Before I head out, let’s talk about everything I’m loving on my Friday Fridays.
Loving Pastel Sweaters
It’s not often I am influenced by someone to buy something, but Julia Engel officially makes me want a pastel sweater. So I bought one for my trip to California next week and have my eye on these below:
Homemade Bread and Friends
Bread is probably my favorite food, even more so when it’s turned into pizza. I always wanted to know how to make my own bread to satisfy the cravings and Claire taught me how! Yesterday I spent the afternoon with my best gal pal learning how to make homemade bread and planning a girls’ brunch.
Cooking homemade bread is pretty genius when you have an addiction, plus it comes out delicious. The recipe requires a few ingredients – yeast, flour, sugar, salt, water, oil, rosemary – and a dutch oven.
Loving this space in our Kitchen
One of these days I’m going to show off the before/after photos from our kitchen remodel. The month of Christmas my sister’s father-in-law took out a portion of the wall between the dining room and kitchen to create a seating area. It’s incredible how much time we now spend in this area!

Looking to the weekend ahead…
Tomorrow my family is gathering to wish my Mom (and Dad) the happiest of birthdays. My siblings and I are all bringing something for dinner – dairy free vodka sauce, meatballs, broccoli rabe, and cake are on the menu. In addition to the birthday celebrations, I’m taking my sister’s maternity photos this weekend.

Love the sweaters! Your kitchen looks great with the seating area vs a wall….smart move!
