Happy Monday! The week ahead is beyond busy, so I took full advantage of the weekend to relax. We finished my birthday celebrations, ran lots of errands, and put up the rest of the fall decorations in our home. I’ll be sharing the fall decor for our front porch later today on Instagram and the blog. For now, I hope you’re all enjoying the last day of September. Here is my weekend recap.
Birthday Celebrations
I can finally say my birthday celebrations are complete since I blew out candles. On Saturday my siblings and parents came over for pizza and apple crisp, two of my favorite things. Brandon, my Mom and sisters put together the party and it was so nice to have a low key celebration (my request). We were able to enjoy each other without the stress of a big event!

Ailey and Annabelle Recap
It’s been awhile since I posted about Annabelle and Ailey, but they can’t be left from my weekend recap. They’re growing up SO fast, especially since school started. Annabelle loves Kindergarten (which was expected) and comes home with a new skill every day. She is reading beginning books, writing sentences, and memorizing addition facts. We always knew she would thrive in a bigger classroom since she enjoys learning.
September was Ailey’s month for big changes. She said goodbye to her pacifier, finally reached the pedals on her tricycle, AND figured out how to poop on the potty. She goes to preschool four mornings a week and truly enjoys every second of it. Ever since she started school she has been more interested in books and art, just like Annabelle. Ailey still has an awful temper when she is tired, but we are working on talking about emotions instead of yelling.
I can’t believe it’s the last day of September – my birthday month always flies by. Thankfully October is a wonderful month and I have so many exciting things coming up!
