Looking for the Ultimate List of Dairy Free Snacks and where to buy the best dairy free snack items?
The Ultimate List of Dairy Free Snacks
I can’t believe it’s been three years since I quit eating dairy for good. I first went dairy free while breastfeeding my daughter 11 years ago, but all three girls have grown out of dairy allergies. Just as we learned our daughters don’t have a milk allergy, I learned I have a sensitivity to dairy. Following a dairy free diet while breastfeeding – or suddenly having to follow a dairy free lifestyle – can be difficult. Thankfully there are so many great dairy-free things to buy in stores! Here is my Ultimate List of Dairy Free Snacks (and where to buy them).
Dairy Free Snacks at Trader Joe’s
There are quite a few dairy free snacks at Trader Joe’s, but I don’t like them all. Instead of wasting time when you go to the store asking, “What snacks are dairy free?” copy my list below. Here are my favorite Trader Joe’s dairy-free snacks.
- Vegan Nacho Dip – I use this vegan nacho dip so many different ways! From the melted cheese in a quesadilla/taco to a dip for pretzels to one of the ingredients in my 7 layer bean dip – it’s all delicious!
- Vegan Buffalo Dip – this is a HUGE hit at all of our parties (and when I’m craving a spicy dip)
- Peanut Butter Filled Pretzels – watch out, these are addictive.
- Jalapeño Seasoned Corn & Rice Puffs – these are SO spicy but ridiculously good.
- Vegan Buttery Spread – technically this isn’t a snack, but I use it to make snacks (like these vegan cookies)
- Trader Joe’s Jumbo Cinnamon Rolls – the price on these delicious, chewy sweet cinnamon rolls are A+ (compared to the Immaculate brand) and taste better
- Joe-Joe Cookies – there are a few different flavors but my favorite is the seasonal Candy Cane flavor
- Eggplant Garlic Spread – I LOVE this stuff on bread, pizza, crackers, or with vegetables.
- Chicken & Chimichurri Empanadas – if you can find these, buy them! They are more like a dairy free meal than a snack if you eat both in the box (dipped in the vegan nacho cheese).
- Vegan Spinach and Cashew Ravioli – this is technically another meal, but they are so tasty! They are delicious boiled and then sauteed in garlic and olive oil too.
- Boursin Dairy-Free Garlic & Herbs – I was beyond thrilled to find this cheese spread at TJs. It is good on cracker, bagels, with veggies or a chunk of bread.
- Organic Popcorn with Olive Oil – I love popcorn, especially with the Trader Joe’s KETCHUP flavored seasoning.
- Peanut Butter and Jelly Frooze Balls – I like these 100% plant powered energy balls as a snack or breakfast on the go!

Here is a list of surprising Dairy Free Snacks you can find at most grocery stores, Whole Foods, or on Amazon. P.S. I’m not promising these milk-free snacks are healthy – but they do taste great!
