Sharing a little life lately update with what we are doing, what we have done, and what I’ve added to my closet during November in 2023.
Life Lately – November 2023
November was one of our busiest months – so chaotic that I am finally writing this a week after it has ended. Our life lately is just as lovely as ever and November proved to be one that we found a lot to be grateful for. First I went on a two day trip to the Catskills with the Kizik Team. I had the most amazing time meeting three incredible bloggers, and some Kizik team members/press people from NYC. We went hiking, wine tasting, and experienced a meditative sound bath (it was life changing). When I came home I took a trip into NYC with Brandon to see The 1975. This was our third show together and The 1975 did not disappoint. I wish I could see them a fourth time in London in 2024 (high hopes).
We celebrated my brother’s 50th birthday and cooked a pre-Thanksgiving dinner at home. Our girls performed in The Nutcracker at the Oakdale with professional ballerinas and my mother in law flew in to watch the show. We decorated for Christmas, ate Thanksgiving dinner at my parents, and met Santa Clause. Throw in a couple of birthday parties and girls’ night outs – November 2023 was jam packed with fun.

The Nutcracker at the Oakdale November 2023
In 2019 my Mom and cousin took Annabelle, Ailey, and my niece to watch their dance studio perform alongside the Moscow Ballet in the Nutcracker at the Oakdale. The girls were so excited to see their big dance sisters on stage – and said they wanted to be in the Nutcracker when they were old enough. Unfortunately Covid delayed their opportunity to audition four years! In September they were given the chance to try out for The Nutcracker and all three girls (plus another cousin) were cast roles in the iconic ballet show.
I’m still in awe over the most magical Nutcracker performance I have ever seen. We are beyond proud of our girls and their friends (and family) for the incredible job they did on stage.
