There are dog people and there are cat people and there are people who don’t like animals at all. In my house, we are all about cats – well, one cat in particular. Our cat Mcmuffin was our first fur child and may just be our one and only. We love him so much that there isn’t any way we could love another cat! For my cat loving friends, here are five reasons why we love our cat and one of the ways we let him know he is loved back : with a clean litter box! Here are some of the reasons why I love my cat.
one. he is playful…when he wants to be.
Mcmuffin is one of those cats that plays with his toys (or you) whenever you least expect him to. He doesn’t require a lot of playtime, but if he is in the mood then he will chase a mouse or bat around a feather.
two. he is sneaky.
The second reason why I love my cat is he’s very sneaky. Muffin is one of the sneakiest cats I know. He likes to pop out of the bathroom closet when I least expect it, or sneak behind the girls when they aren’t looking (so he isn’t harrassed). I love how he brings a little bit of excitement to our days.
three. he is weird.
Who doesn’t love their weird little friend that sticks his nose in your eye in the middle of the night? Muffin keeps us laughing, lets us make him dance, and talks to the birds he sees out in the yard.
four. he is a great friend.
Despite his attitude problems, my cat has that sixth sense where he knows when you’re sad or stressed. Cats can be in tune to humans, and he proves to seemingly know when I need him to cheer me up.
five. he prepared us for having kids.
The last reason is why I love my cat is because muffin prepared us for our kids. Cats need to be taken care of just like any other pet. However, they can’t be neglected or ignored when they need you most. Just like toddlers, if you don’t give them your undivided attention when requested, you’ll most likely find yourself with a poop on the rug or a plant knocked on the floor.
Making sure your cat has a clean litter box is one of the ways you can show him/her how much you love them. Our cat will poop on the rug in no time if his litter isn’t cleaned, so we make sure to scoop it daily and change it weekly. In return, he is our nighttime cuddle buddy and daytime pal.
A happy cat makes for a happy home.
