Happy June 10th! I can’t believe I’ve been gone from the blog world for so long, but the break was truly needed. My family and I had the best vacation EVER on our Disney Cruise last week! We flew back in Saturday night and spent Sunday at Annabelle’s dance recital and hanging out with family. Since it’s been awhile, I thought it would be nice for a Life Lately update answering some of your questions.

How was the Disney Cruise?
Honestly – the Disney Cruise was everything I had hoped it would be – and more. Obviously traveling with two little girls has its difficult moments. But for the most part, we had an incredible time on the Disney Fantasy. Annabelle and Ailey were in awe of every magical moment, so much that I cried tears of joy more than I’d like to admit.
I will be blogging a lot about our trip with posts on What to Pack for a Disney Cruise, What to Do on a Disney Cruise, and a recap of our experience. If you’re considering a Disney Cruise with your family and have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
Did you wear everything you packed?
Guess who forgot more than a few must-have items for her vacation? ME. That’s just how Mom life goes though. As soon as we got on the boat and unpacked, I noticed I was missing a few outfits. I was happy I organized my vacation outfits here and here because I could see what I actually forgot!
The day we left was so chaotic that a load of laundry stayed in the dryer instead of getting packed. We forgot pajamas for the girls, as well as a few swimsuits too.
I am revising my vacation packing list now. Look for a blog post on What to Pack not just for kids, but Moms too in the coming weeks. Not being someone who likes to wear the same thing twice, I was forced to wear the same dress the first and last night on the boat!
How was Annabelle’s dance recital?
Annabelle had her third dance recital yesterday, less than 24 hours after we flew back from Orlando! She did so wonderful despite the fact she missed her last dance class and dress rehearsal while we were on vacation. I can’t believe how far she has come as a tiny dancer. We all look forward to watching her talents develop in the years to come.
Annabelle goes to an incredible dance studio run by a friend of mine from high school. The teachers are brilliantly talented and teach the students about self-love and empowerment through dance. Bonus: Annabelle’s cousin and friends are in her class! Hopefully we are adding hip hop or jazz to their class schedule in the fall.
Did you really stay “offline?”
The day before we left on our vacation I said I was excited to be turning off my phone for the entire trip. The question is, “Did you really stay OFFLINE? Aside from one brief WIFI experience in Tortola where I was able to check emails and post a few photos on my IG story, I stayed offline. The Disney Cruise has an App connecting you to your family on the boat (and other guests) with iMessage access, so I was actually able to text my Mom and sisters at home. I didn’t text a lot, but just enough to make sure everyone and everything was okay.
What’s Coming Up Next?
The next week is going to be bananas as I try to get back into the swing of things. Aside from my part-time job as a PR/Social Media Gal, I have a million emails to answer for my blog and two million photos to edit from our trip. I am excited to say we found the sweetest babysitter to help out a few times a week so I’m don’t fall behind between two jobs plus Momlife.
We don’t have any more vacations planned until August, so our calendar is open for adventures. I’m really hoping to visit the beach in Connecticut before it gets too hot!
Do you board Muffin when you go away, or have someone stop in to feed him/take care of the box? It’s hard to travel now that we have pets and I’m curious about what other families do!
Looking forward o more updates!
