Are you looking for ways to make your home look brand new? Pressure washing your house is the secret to a clean exterior.

Have you ever thought about washing the outside of your home? We spend so much time cleaning indoors that most people forget the exterior is just as important. Time and weather build up dirt, mold and debris on the outside of your home.
The only way to obtaining a clean house is by pressure washing the exterior.
When we bought our white colonial home we thought it looked sparkly new, until someone pointed out mold on our siding during a backyard cookout. From that moment on, black spots and green areas were all I could see when I looked at my house. I’m highly allergic to all forms of mold so the amount on our home was extremely alarming.
I was chatting with a friend about ways to remove the mold on our home and learned it’s a BIG job. The only way to clean the exterior of your house is with pressure washing and it’s highly recommended one hires a professional to do the service. Pressure washing can be dangerous if attempted by inexperienced hands.
We are fortunate to be friends with the owner of Cutting Edge Painters, a local family owned business dedicated to improving the interior and exterior of a home. They offered to come out and pressure wash the exterior of our house, with the deck and front steps included. We learned there was mold and mildew growing on our home from top to bottom.
Cutting Edge Painters is very thorough, explaining what to expect before, during and after the service.
Before pressure washing your house, the specialist will need to spray a weak bleach solution on every surface that will be cleaned. The solution is highly diluted through a machine, with 75% water and 25% chemical. Our specialist informed us our plants would be safe from any mist. If there are furniture and fabric near the home, the specialists will move them away during the pressure wash.
Only Trust A Professional to Pressure Wash Your Home

Our home is covered in vinyl siding, so it’s extremely important only an experienced professional pressure washes the house. If a pressure washer is used incorrectly it can damage siding. One can also damage any paint, window screens or wooden structures on your home.
During the service you may see brown water leaking from the siding and windows of your home. This is normal drainage and will disappear. If any spots remain, the specialist can use a weak bleach solution to remove it by hand.
Before and After Pressuring Washing Your Home
I wanted to document what it looked like before and after the pressure washing service. The results are almost instantaneous, but truly shine once your home is dry. We learned once the mold and mildew was gone that we are going to need to patch some areas on the house.
