Friday Favorites 91

Have you started fall shopping yet? A trip to J.Crew is at the top of my Friday Favorites, followed by updates on Annabelle, Ailey, Muffin, and Taylor Swift. TGIF!

one. fall shopping.

How much do you love this jacket? I dragged my daughters to the outlets and took advantage of Connecticut’s Tax Free Shopping Week. I found a few tops, a long black cardy, and a pair of jeans  on sale for $40 (which I didn’t buy because the knees were too baggy), plus a must needed fall jacket. Unfortunately, the maroon color is only at J.Crew Factory – but you can buy it in brown at the regular store. P.S. Everything in J.Crew Factory stores is 40% off this weekend!

two. my little daredevil.

Ailey has a new trick every day… sometimes its a new word, other times its something fancy, like climbing onto her Great Aunt Maureen’s rocking chair and dancing. I kid you not – she is going to be a troublemaker. (P.S. How about those unicorn pants?!)

three. sweet Mcmuffin.

If you have any pets – then you understand how hard it is on them when you change up their lives. I working on a blog post about our cat and how he has been feeling a little bit down since we sold his house on him. I was trying to capture his relationship with the girls in a picture and this is everything… he is acting like he wants to let her pet him, but you can see his hesitation. He REALLY would rather not hang out with the little people – he much prefers his Mom and Dad’s company.

four. my first born.

How can I not mention Annabelle on my Friday Favorites? This week she has seemed a little bit calmer than normal – we are almost clear of the tantrum phase and she has more control of her emotions lately. I think there is something to be said about routines and an abundance of positive encouragement. Sometimes I forget she is only 3.5 years old because she seems so wise and mature… but then she puts stickers all over her sister’s back, laughing when the poor baby can’t grab them, and I remember her age.

five. rugs.

Even though we’ve yet to figure out where we are moving, I can’t help but plan the interior design of our new home. Rugs are one of my favorite items to peruse and I’m obsessed with the look of a Turkish or vintage rug in the bathroom. This runner would look awesome in a little girls bathroom and this runner in our master bathroom.

six. oh hai Taylor Swifty.

What a way to release a new song… deleting your social media accounts and then coming back with some scary snake clips?? But for real – her new song is my new jam. I’ve listened to it about 100 times already… oh make that 101.
