I’m happy to reach the weekend as I’ve had a lot of mixed emotions lately and its finally time to relax. These are my Friday Favorites.

one. heartfelt thank you.

The last few weeks have been a bit crazy and without going into lots of detail, I divulged some of the reasons why on the blog. I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who reached out with their own stories or thoughts. You made me realize something so huge, and that is I AM HUMAN. And everything I’ve been feeling is normal.

two. first birthday prep.

Ailey’s first birthday party is tomorrow and thanks to my family, friends, and a few small businesses, we are ready to celebrate! Witty Bash is an online party boutique carrying unique items, like all of the fun watermelon themed goodies above. They sent us a package for Ailey’s birthday and I can’t wait to show you how it helped tie all of our decor in together.

three. getaway planning.

I have two trips planned for the beginning of September and I’m already stressing about what to pack. One is for wedding in Scottsdale and I hear the weather is quite unique (aka hot as crap) – the other is immediately after AZ in a tropical location. Most of the stores are already carrying fall clothing, so I’m scouring the internet for dresses, swimsuits, and warm weather wear. I love this dress, this dress, this hat, and this swimsuit. Where are your favorite places to shop for a vacation?

four. Carry Love.

Ailey and I were recently asked to review the new Carry Love Tote by TWELVE little (check it out here). The diaper bag is made of made of a water resistant soft quilted polyester free of harsh chemicals such as PVC, BPA and Phthalates. Ailey loves that she can throw her peaches on it and it doesn’t stain. I love the lightweight material and the hidden pocket on the back for a dirty outfit or bib.

five. waiting. 

18 days … less or more… we’re all waiting for you Sloane. The nursery is practically finished, the registry has been bought out, and my little sister looks like she has dropped. August is birth-day month not just for Ailey, but for her new baby cousin too!
