Today I’m sharing my Friday Favorites, which includes white kitchens, the perfect lighting for kid photos, and our plans for the weekend.
one. pinning (or pining?) away for white.
I know white kitchens are all the rage these days… and maybe in a couple of years everyone will be on to something else…but I want one. I want white cabinets and light colored counters. I want windows that bring in the morning sunshine (or afternoon light).
As for a layout, ours is pretty amazing. We have a huge island with a built in sink and space for dining – but everything is dark cherry wood, grey marble, and tan (see below).
It’s beautiful, just not for me. But this… this says ME.
two. radiate rose.
One of my favorite pairs of Lululemon pants is starting to unravel along the hip area. I am going to bring them to the store to be assessed before sending them back to the company for a refund. If I have the option to trade them in for a different pair of pants, I have my eye on these beauties. If I can’t trade them in, well then maybe I should start saving for this pair.
three. this one spot.
I’ve found this one spot in our living room under the window that has become our photo shoot spot. Annabelle loves when I set up a blanket and take pictures of her and Ailey. I’m slowly figuring out the correct settings on my camera for indoor photos, as well as how to capture their cuteness.
four. ballet update.
I just can’t get over how much Annabelle loves ballet. Every Tuesday morning she wakes up ready to go and immediately puts on her leotard and tights. Unfortunately, her class isn’t until 11, so she spends a few hours twirling until its time to go.
five. a sleep promise.
My in-laws are driving down today to stay the weekend and help with Ailey at night so I can get some sleep. If you’re new around here, then read this. We went to the pediatrician Wednesday for Ailey’s 6-month checkup and she said that her inability to sleep at night could not just be from intestinal issues, but also irritated ear drums (?).
I’ve tried Motrin before bed the last two nights and have not seen any improvements. SO, my MIL is basically an angel and made me promise I would let her take Ailey for the night and try to sleep. Wish. Us. Luck. May the odds be ever in your favor.

I love the white kitchens, but I’m definitely a dark cabinet girl so I LOVE yours! I could do bad things for that awesome banquette seating in the 2nd white kitchen picture though… Girl buy yourself some earplugs and get some sleep. Enjoy it!

Good luck with the sleep!
Also, you could probably paint out those kitchen cabinets of yours (or pay someone to do it). They look like they’re in pretty good shape and it would be a lot cheaper than replacing them.

Ahhh I love me a good white kitchen. We’ll be heading into a kitchen complete reno within 2 years and I don’t care if white is out of style. It’s sooo my deal too! I love that Anabelle loves ballet so much! So cute π As for the promise of sleep, I”m jealous and excited for you all at the same time. Enjoy the weekend!!

I love how excited your little one is about ballet!! That’s actually the best!! When we redid our kitchen last year, I did white quartz counters, opaque backsplash and reallllllly light grey cabinets. It’s absolutely my favorite room in the house… because it does look so bright!!
