Life is changing so much lately with the addition of our new baby and preschool for Annabelle. Here are my latest Friday Favorites.
one. first day at preschool.
Annabelle’s first day at preschool went a lot better than her second day of preschool. There were only a few tears that Mommy and Daddy didn’t have to see. However, when we brought her back on Wednesday, she didn’t want to say good-bye. That was hard for me – letting her go – but I know that preschool is somewhere she needs to be, even if it’s just twice a week.
two. teeny tiny.
Our newest little nugget is one and a half weeks old today. At least twice a day I forget for a moment that she is actually here and get all excited when I realize we have ourselves another princess. She is well over her birth weight and quite the gassy girl, so the last couple of days have been filled with lots of bouncing and burping until she is calm.
three. sisters.
I am officially obsessed with the sister love in our house. Annabelle is so proud of Ailey and every time she randomly sneaks over to touch her hand or kiss her forehead, my whole being turns into an ooey gooey mess of emotion.
If I’m being honest, Annabelle is a bit jealous of the attention her baby sister receives at times, so we have been trying very hard to boost her little self esteem. My sister is my best friend and knowing that Annabelle will get to grow up beside her own little BFF has always been my dream.
four. feed me.
Life as a breastfeeding Mom means being an open buffet all. day. long. Why is this a Friday Favorite? Because even though I feel like a milk cow, I love the bond that I have with my kiddies while breastfeeding.
Look at this milk fiend after her first tubby. She didn’t cry once – just started making a fuss once I picked her up and she smelled me. Then it was time to eat for the 1,097 time that day. (Also, I figured out where she got her winky left eye from… her Momma).
five. capturing family moments.
Um… how stinkin’ precious is this sneak peak of Ailey’s newborn photos?! I can’t stop starting at her precious little foot. The best part – tomorrow we are taking MORE photos with the photographer. I mentioned last week how much I love family photo sessions, so I don’t need to elaborate on how excited I am for tomorrow’s family lifestyle shoot with Shauna Winzeler Photography.

I’ve toyed with putting Lilly in MDO but I keep panicking over it. I probably need to at least register her somewhere since the waitlist is probably a million months long… but it’s so hard to take the plunge!! Glad Miss Annabelle had such a great first day — I know it has to be super hard when she doesn’t want to go, but so good for her too. Look at Ailey grow!!!!! She’s preshhhhh!

OMG this whole post is such a cute overload! I can’t even take it. It makes me want my baby to come even sooner!
Don’t worry too much about the tears at preschool. If she’s anything like mine, even a total meltdown in front of you ends really soon after you leave. I’ve called daycare once after a particularly bad dropoff and they said she stopped crying instantly after I left. It’s nice to know they want to hang out with you, but hard to leave them when they’re crying!
