Hey Friday, give me a hug!
We are so excited to spend our first Friday at the house tearing down wallpaper, ripping up carpet, and maybe doing a little painting. In case you missed it… we bought a house!
We’ve known for almost two months we were going to purchase this dream home, but I was too superstitious to talk about it or buy anything until the paperwork was signed. Now we have less than a month until Brandon drives our moving truck up from Georgia with all of our belongings to renovate, paint, and buy furniture/decor.
Weekend Sales for the Kids’ Playroom
Since the girls are going to have their very own playroom, I’m on a hunt for organizational items, rugs, and anything fun that’s on sale this weekend. Annabelle and Ailey already have Anywhere Chairs from Pottery Barn Kids but TODAY ONLY they are up to 70% off! ALL of the girls’ toys have been in storage for a year and it’s going to be like Christmas when they open the boxes. I know that Annabelle has outgrown most of what she had, but Ailey will love it all. The girls’ received a gift card to PBK for Christmas and we are picking out so many fun items.
You can see my inspiration board here.
Summer Vacations
Even though we made a huge purchase this week, we are still taking quite a few summer vacations that were booked months ago. Next weekend we are spending Father’s Day in Montauk and the following weekend headed to Destin, Florida for 8 days. In July we are going to visit family in Ohio and then in August it’s our annual family trip to Cape Cod. I’m so excited to go on so many trips!
Dave Matthew’s Band – NEW ALBUM
Who else is excited Dave Matthew’s Band has released a new album? I’ve shared here before how they’re my favorite band and I’ve been listening to their new stuff all morning. I love his old stuff, but new music is always exciting. Do you like Come Tomorrow?
Church Bazaar
One year ago I took the girls to my favorite carnival of the year – the church bazaar! The food is so amazing, the rides fun, and they now serve beer and wine from a local shop. Ailey rode the carousel for the first time and LOVED it so much. For me – it was a bit scary since I felt like we were going 60mph.
Annabelle is our little daredevil and wanted to go on all the big kid rides. She rode the scrambler with her Zia and I was so nervous I couldn’t watch. I kept picturing all of the kids puking on The Sandlot and worried she would do the same.
I hope the weather is fabulous for everyone and you all enjoy the weekend!

Congratulations on the new house! I love the architecture of the homes in Connecticut! There are so many more options than down here in FLA. Your organizational inspo board is beautiful! My go to is usually IKEA but I will definitely be checking out some of your finds as I prepare to move my 2 girls in one room and put my son in his own room. Have a great week!
