one. my first birthday “cake”Leave it to Kim, the girl who has become my best friend this last year, to surprise me with a dairy free Apple Crisp birthday cake. Her husband and I share the same birth month and last weekend when we had a family date, Kim went out of her way to make the night special for Ryan and I. Kim is seriously one of the most amazing people in my life. I cannot thank the heavens enough for bringing her into my world.
two. dairy free chicken and dumplins
I am SO sorry I didn’t take a picture of my creation – it was AMAZING and will definitely be a staple in our house the next few months. Next time I make it I promise to post pictures and a recipe. In the meantime, if you’re interested in a recipe, send me an email!
three. MIL visits.
My MIL arrived late last night and I am SO excited. We’ve not seen her since July and it’s been way too long. I know she will want lots of time catching up with Annabelle, but I will sneak in my hugs and snuggles too. I’m so happy she will be with us for over a week.
four. ON plaid shirt dress for $15!
I cannot wait to wear this plaid shirt dress with tights and booties this Fall. It is so comfortable, the perfect length, and was super cheap. Unfortunately, it is not on sale online…but keep an eye out for it in stores!
five. floral ON pj pants
Everyone loves a new pair of jammy pants that they can wear in public without getting stares. I bought these floral pj pants at Old Navy last week for $10. They were on super sale for Labor Day and I’m glad I snatched them up when I did because when I went back a few days later they were sold out!
six. something to make you giggle
Who doesn’t love when people make fun of Celebrity Instagram Pictures? This woman might be my hero.
seven. signs from above.
I’ve always been a believer in signs from above. Whether its a butterfly that flutters right by my face (my Grandma Mary) or a rainbow on the day of a funeral (happened with both my Grandparents), I like to think it happens on purpose. Yesterday, on the eve of September 11, a rainbow seemed to start right where the World Trade Center once stood 14 years ago. One may say this is just a coincidence, but I would like to believe its a sign of peace, strength, and possibly hope for our future.

Hi stopping over from the link up! When I saw the picture of the rainbow I instantly thought of my Grandpa the week before he passed away in church someone gave a sermon on how a rainbow was a sign that God was bringing someone into heaven. Well the day that my Grandpa passed away my Dad saw a rainbow and thought oh no, my dad, and about 6 hours later my Grandpa passed. Sorry if I rambled I just thought it was neat to see that picture!
