Sometimes I wonder if I’m going to make the nice list every year… we all know Santa can be very judgmental. He is also extremely busy stacking presents for actual children under the Christmas tree and not grown-ups. Just in case he forgets about me, I had the brilliant idea to get myself a gift for Christmas – something I can use every day: a mini home office!
When we moved into our new house, I told my husband we needed to create a special space for me to work. Unfortunately, my dream of a mini home office didn’t come true right away, as many other home renovation tasks took precedence. For the last five months I’ve stood at the kitchen counter, dreaming of a proper desk with a comfy chair and cute lamp. Do you know how hard it is to get anything done standing in the middle of the most popular room in the house? My daughters never take me for my word – “I’m working” means nothing and even my husband feels inclined to chat despite the invisible DO NOT DISTURB sign tacked on my back. One can only tolerate a situation such as this for so long… so I decided in honor of the holiday season, it was time to treat myself!
All of the items in my mini home office are made by Versanora, a brand who since 2016 has been making trend-setting chairs, tables, lighting, and more, for the style-conscious but budget-challenged. In other words, Versanora designs beautiful pieces that won’t break the bank.
The in white and natural wood matches our contemporary farmhouse style bedroom well. I put the desk together myself in under an hour! The desk offers both style and functionality, while remaining simple and chic. With three drawers and two organizational cubbies, the desk has plenty of storage to keep my junk organized.
Aside from desiring a white desk, I had to have the perfect desk chair. The is not only comfortable, but eye catching, and compliments our grey bedroom furniture. The height of the chair is ideal for sitting cross legged while planning out my content calendar – which is exactly how I like to sit while I work!
Since my mini office space is actually located in our master bedroom, I chose furniture pieces that are multi-functional and easy to move around. The has three levels and rolling wheels. There is plenty of space to hold my camera, planner, and eventually a printer. Bonus: we can actually roll the Pulire Storage Cart away to our our closet when it’s not in use.
My family knows when I’m sitting in my new mini-office space I’m not to be disturbed, but it hasn’t stopped anyone yet. I keep thinking if I ask Santa for an invisible wall, maybe they will finally let me work in peace. Or maybe if I put a red light bulb in the they’ll know Mom is seriously busy.
The Versanora furniture I chose is stylish, functional, beautiful, and totally affordable. Use my unique promo code TeamsonCOANB20 to receive 20% off any purchase on Teamson.com. Offer valid through December 14, 2018. Go Gift Yourself this holiday season. Tell Santa he can go gift himself too.

Having a room divider or tall bookcases that can act as a room divider can help to add privacy to a home office setting. This is true even if it has to be in a space without a door.
