Looking for ways to decorate a large wall behind the sofa? Keep reading to find out how to decorate the wall above the couch with enlarged prints.

A few weeks ago I shared the inspiration behind my desire to decorate the large wall over our couch. There are many different ideas for living room wall decor and it was hard to pick one!
How to Decorate the Wall Behind the Sofa
Surprise! My husband and I chose to use enlarged prints for decorating the large wall above the couch. It was easy choosing which enlarged prints to hang above the sofa – family photos! After all, we just had a special photo session with Rebecca Love Photography during our family trip to Nantucket.
We ordered three 24 x 18 large format prints from Artifact Uprising. Large format prints are not cheap, but the quality from Artifact Uprising is worth the price. Artifact Uprising offers canvas prints, as well as framed prints. To lower the cost of the living room wall decor project, I purchased my own enlarged frames on sale.
The quality of a wall frame is not as important to me as the quality of the print. Want to know the best way to save money on poster size frames? Wait for them to go on sale. I bought these 18 x 24 frames were Buy One Get One 50% off! I ordered three frames for the price of one.
How to Hang Enlarged Prints on the Wall
Hanging photos is one of my least favorite home decorating activities. I have a terrible eye for straight lines (even if I am using a level and tape measure). Some time ago I saw a home decor blogger sharing the way she plots out where to hang photos on her walls using painters tape. Brandon and I successfully used this trick to hang three enlarged prints evenly above the couch.
We couldn’t be more happy with the new wall print addition to our family room. The enlarged prints in these frames make the space feel complete (as does our new coffee table!).
This is looks awesome! Now you guys can sneak off to your own private beach (the family room) whenever you want!! Love ???
So beautiful! I am serious about wanting something similar.
my grand daughter did this in her dining room. She took several of her favorites pictures that she had of the boys and had them enlarged to this large size and bought frames on line. Don’t know who she bought them from. She actually did 8 pictures. Had a large wall. Also don’t know where she went to enlarge her pictures but finished product is lovely.
Love them! Good choice.
this looks SO good! Such a precious little family. you made the perfect choices!
