This week has already proven to be more challenging that last year’s back to school week. My plans for teaching have changed as we had to push our first day of school to a week from next Monday. I’ve been so busy from the time I arrive at teacher planning to the time I get in bed at night, that I can’t even believe it’s actually Thursday.

Annabelle is adjusting to baby school as well as I expected – she has been crying each morning when I drop her off, but fine when I pick her up. It’s just one of those aspects of Motherhood I just don’t like: the emotional rollercoaster.
Today I was able to go into work later than usual, so Annabelle and I were able to wait with the neighborhood kids for the school bus. It is the first day of school in the county where we live! This weekend we have plans to get our house in order. The garage looks like a tornado hit it, my closet is a disaster area, and I still haven’t completely unpacked my suitcase from Cape Cod. Now that I don’t have to start school next Monday, I have the time to clean clean clean!
