Shopping with a baby is rather scary in the beginning – there’s the whole what if my baby screams in public and the whole where do I put a baby in a grocery cart? I didn’t take Annabelle to the store with me for months, just because I didn’t know the best way to shop with a baby. I remember stuffing groceries around her car seat in the cart and wondering how I would ever buy more than 10 things at a time. With Ailey, I took her to the store earlier, but fell in the same predicament – I could only buy what I could carry, since Ailey would stay in her stroller, while Annabelle walked next to us.
Then… Binxy Baby sent me a grocery cart hammock and I realized I’ve been trying to shop with a baby wrong for quite some time. With Ailey chilling in her little hammock in the back of the cart, Annabelle can ride up front, and I can put lots of goodies underneath the baby. I can also stick whatever I know Annabelle won’t eat around her.
Ailey can also harass her sister from her hammock.
The Binxy Baby Hammock is awesome because it fits most standard grocery store carts – I’ve used it at Target, Publix, and even Sprouts. If you’re not ready to have your baby sit in the hammock alone, then you can actually strap your car seat in it! Don’t worry, the hammock supports up to 50lbs in weight. Ailey sits up in our house on the floor on her own just fine, but she isn’t ready to sit in the grocery cart yet, so the Binxy Baby hammock is perfect for her. You can use it for babies approximately 6-8 months until they sit up on their own.
The hammock is super easy to strap into the cart – but in case you’re a visual person, here is how it works:
I have to admit, I was nervous putting Ailey in the hammock at first. But once she was in I could see how comfortable and safe she actually was. The plastic clips are extremely sturdy and there is a velcro strap to make sure they stay in place. The baby also sits on a 2 layer upholstery weight fabric – which means it’s tough and thick.
If you’re not into flowers, they have quite a few other patterns. There is the standard black for neutral Moms or a bright Indigo pattern that would be good for boys or Moms with a little flair. I chose flowers because Ailey is all about the flowers, right?
If you’re pregnant, looking for an awesome gift for a pregnant friend, OR you already have yourself a little baby, can get 10% off a Binxy Baby Hammock until May 31! Try one out and lemme know what you think… I bet you’ll love it!
