If you are looking for Tips for Blow Drying Your Hair then this post is for you!
When I was in high school, I never thought I would appreciate my hair as one of my best features. My curls were hard to tame and I was the only one out of all my friends without straight hair, so I felt like an outcast. I had no idea how to blow dry my hair, let alone wear it without a ton of products. After many years of trial and error, I’ve learned from my hair styling mistakes and have found tools that help me get the perfect hairstyle.
3 Tips for Blow Drying Your Hair!
Tip 1 – Make sure Your Hair isn’t TOO Wet!
I’ve spent way too many hours blow drying my hair when it is soaking wet only to learn it is much quicker if it air dries a little. It is less damaging to your hair to blow-dry it when it’s semi-wet than sopping wet.
Tip 2 – Use the Right Brush
It’s important that I make sure to finger dry my hair at the roots first before using a hairbrush while blow-drying. I tried many different brushes before finding the best brush for blow-drying my hair. I always thought a flat brush would help me to blow dry my hair flat, however it is the complete opposite. Round brushes pull your hair taut while straightening your hair under heat. This is my favorite round brush!
Tip 3 – Use a Nozzle Attachment
For beautiful shiny hair, use a flat nozzle attachment. The nozzle helps concentrate the air in a more precise way, which protects your hair from excess heat and causes less frizz. Section your hair while blow-drying and start at the front for smoother results.
Styling your hair can be enjoyable if you know what you’re doing. I know it took me a long time to learn from my mistakes, but I have fun blow-drying my hair now with ease and little stress. If you avoid these three mistakes when blow drying your hair, you will find that you love your hair more (just like I do!).
