Today I’m sharing my weekend recap about how we prepared for Christmas in Georgia.
The weekend before Christmas always stresses me out.
I hate the feeling of knowing Christmas is SO close and almost over. Thankfully we go to Connecticut to visit my family after Christmas, so the holiday season is extended. I tried to make our weekend filled with fun holiday activities… I think I succeeded.
My little hambone and I made salt dough ornaments, Aunt Sandy’s Christmas cookies, and Rolo Pretzel Bites for her preschool Christmas party. Daddy and Ailey helped a bit – and actually, I probably did most of the work. Annabelle helped to eat whatever I had that was edible. When she tried to eat the ornament dough, she found out quickly that salt dough is… salty. And gross.
In between all of the Christmas baking, I ran out to pick up my new glasses.
I decided after 8 years with the same outdated glasses (and a really old prescription), I would get with the times. I feel like a new girl now and can see when I’m not wearing my contacts. It’s quite lovely and I look forward to giving my eyes a break once in awhile. Pregnancy really did make my eye sight worse!
Ailey tried oatmeal cereal for the first time and is a HUGE fan
I had a feeling she would like real food… she wants to nurse every 2.5 hours and is constantly trying to grab what’s on my plate.
I can’t believe Christmas is this weekend. We are headed to Tennessee at the end of the week for our first Christmas celebration with Brandon’s family. Then we will come home to have Christmas as the four of us. Annabelle is beyond excited for Santa and Ailey, well she just hopes she gets some teething toys.
She’s too cute!
Totally loving all these pics! The glasses make you look extra amazing! And Annabelle’s grumpy is so funny!! Have a wonderful Christmas with your beautiful family 🙂
Love your new glasses and the photo of your daughter giving you the sassy look when you were making the salt dough ornaments. Have a great Christmas.
