Looking for a convertible car seat? Here is a review and list of my top five convertible car seats for toddlers.
Your baby’s safety is no joke – especially when it comes to riding in the car. I’ve already talked about how to keep your baby safe during the winter in their car seat and mentioned which car seat I registered for when I was pregnant. But now that Annabelle has reached the height limits of her car seat, it’s time to make the switch to a convertible car seat. I want to share the information I’ve found during the hours I’ve spent researching which car seat will be the safest.

Britax Marathon ClickTight – $329
Annabelle’s first car seat was the Britax B-Safe. We LOVED that car seat for a million reasons, so I was already partial to Britax as a brand. After reading tons of reviews, I came to the conclusion that the Britax Marathon is a longtime favorite among parents. However, the Britax Marathon ClickTight has an easy installation system AND SafeCell Complete Side Impact Protection.
Britax Boulevard ClickTight – $369.99
The Britax Boulevard ClickTight is very similar to the Marathon because it is easy to install and has the same SafeCell Complete Side Impact Protection design. The biggest difference is that the seated shoulder height max for rear facing is 18.65 inches, which is 2 more inches than the Marathon. Annabelle is a tall baby, so I am leaning towards this car seat for my car.
Graco 4Ever All-in-1 Carseat – $299.99
The Graco 4Ever All-in-1 is a convertible car seat that grows with your child. The description says it gives you 10 years – meaning you can use it from the time your baby is born to when he/she is sitting in a booster seat at a max of 120lbs. It looks pretty cozy, comes in PINK, and it has cupholders.
Chicco NextFit Zip Convertible Car Seat – $329.99
The Chicco NextFit Zip Convertible Car Seat was recommended by some of my Mommy friends. They love it because of its easy to wash seat pad. After reviewing the highlights of the Britax Marathon and the Chicco NextFit, I was surprised to discover there aren’t many differences between the two. Not even the price! Safety ratings put them side-by-side, so really, it’s your personal preference.

We had the Graco Snugride 35 and loved it, so for the convertible, I went with the Graco 65. It’s okay. I plan to rear-face him until he’s two, and the seat is big in my small car. I have to really yank and wiggle the pull-strap to make sure he’s in there completely secure. And the strap release button can be hard to get to. I’m thinking it’s probably better suited for forward facing. The seat should take us all through the toddler years though.

Our babe is just 6 weeks, but we also have the Britax B-Safe and LOVE IT. I think that if you find a brand, love it, and are happy with what you read about it, stick with it!

We have the Graco 4Ever as our everyday seat that #babybigtruck uses. She has been in it since she was 5 months and LOVES it! We also just got the Graco My Ride 65 for our other truck that she is not in on a daily basis. She loves them both! We like you had the Britax infant seat and she loved that as well but she got to be to big in it.

I have an evenflo in my car, but my husband and inlaws have the chicco nextfit. Once we replaced the crotch strap with the new version I wish I had that seat in my car. The evenflo wouldnt fit facing backwards in my husbands car thats why he got the Nextfit. Its a great seat, and comes apart easily to wash. The only thing is it only goes up to 65lbs I believe where as my evenflo goes up to 100lbs. So we will need to get another seat for his car once Ryan grows out of it. Its a great seat though!!

Harper has the Graco 4Ever that she uses for her everyday seat and we love it… however, it is a bit on the bulky side so we also have the Graco Contender 65 for her to use when she rides in the truck or whenever she’s in a vehicle that’s not my car. We are a huge fan of everything Graco at our house!
