Yesterday morning we left Napa at 8:45 am and we finally pulled in the driveway last night at 9:45pm. It was a long day of traveling and we were sad it took so long to get home because Annabelle was already fast asleep. However, this morning we heard her call out for us and ran in to find quite the happy girl. She was ecstatic her Mommy and Daddy were finally home and curled up between us in our bed for some snuggles.
Granted Brandon and I really need some time away together, there really is no place like home. San Francisco and Napa were gorgeous and we had a blast – but the whole time we were there something was missing. Annabelle.
She did amazing with her Nana while we were gone, but we were told every day, all day, she would look at our pictures and say, “Mommy and Daddy. California.” Nana told her we were coming home Monday night, but she definitely asked about us all the time until she saw us this morning.
Brandon has to work today and tomorrow, but then we are headed to Tennessee for Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to when he gets home tonight already so the three of us can play and laugh together.
