On our rehearsal day I woke up to my own scratchy voice, a lot of rain, and tons of wind. The yucky weather vanished quickly and left us with a bunch of clouds. My voice, however, didn’t quite make an appearance until that evening, and my flu-like symptoms were masked by lots of Mucinex and Sudafed. Once again I would not let my illness stop me from enjoying everything. We headed to Camille’s Cafe for our daily morning breakfast (staying at the Inn = free continental bfast everyday). The cafe is on the left and this picture was obviously taken a different day.
After we ate it was time to meet up with my brother, sister-in-law, and the ring bearers!
I had to teach the boys about the importance of the rings.
A Toast to the Bride! Champagne with manicures and pedicures is always a must!
There were about 11 girls at the nail place and we took over the whole salon!
While we were getting manis and pedis, Mr. Sun came out! We rushed home to change into our swimsuits and to meet the guys on the beach! A groomsmen and some other non-wedding friends arrived in town on Friday and this was the perfect meeting place to celebrate their arrival!
I am the peacock in the middle… Mr. Bear is the one in the hat and green shorts.
My flower girls, Aly and Hannah (plus Olivia – H’s sister) were out playing on the beach so I had to get a picture with them! Aren’t they adorable?
Mr. Bear and I definitely tried to relax on our rehearsal day. We spent as much time as possible hanging out with our friends and family, and not thinking about our big day. I am so happy that we had the opportunity to take it easy and enjoy the beach – I had made sure that everything that needed to be done was DONE before rehearsal day so we could breathe a little.
While our friends enjoyed the sun and the sand, Mr. Bear and I went off to get ready for our meeting with the pastor, Dr. Ken Taylor, and his wife, Betty- our wedding coordinator. Before the Taylors arrived I met with my friend Analea so I could get my hair done. Analea is Mr. Bear’s stepsister’s best friend and an AMAZINGLY talented hair stylist. She offered to do my hair for the rehearsal dinner and let me tell you… it was the best offer a girl could get…
Stay tuned for our ceremony rehearsal…and then the greatest rehearsal dinner EVER had by a bride and groom.
