Sometimes you just have to be honest…and the honest to G truth is that I don’t feel like blogging lately.
I am super stressed out about school – my kids are driving me absolutely insane again and I am nearing the point where I want to jump out my second floor window. I am not joking. The worst part is that the ONLY person who kept me sane last year, the Grandma who volunteered in my classroom, can no longer help me out. SO I AM NOW ALONE WITH 31 6-7 YEAR OLDS.
I need some help from Above here I tell ya.
There is ONE thing I wanted to share with you today though – something many of you inquired about –
MY DANCE CLUB!
Our first official club meeting was yesterday and oh-muh-guh. I said I would only accept 12 girls, but bless my heart, I now have 17. Girls in grades 1-5. And they were all busting at the seams with excitement.
It was pure AWESOMENESS.
I was actually sore and tired after our meeting yesterday…we did actual ballet barre work and exercises across the floor. I had to do everything 17 times so naturally my muscles were screaming. I felt fantastic for one whole hour.
And then it was back to BLECH. Now, I am freaking out about today’s observations at school by some VIPs and worrying myself sick that my class is going to show them their true colors. Should be a superduperstellar day.
Today I am linking up with:

Thanks so much for your support always!
My love! I understand only too well what you’re going through at school. That’s why if I still lived in Bmore I’d treat your sweet self to some Pinot Noir at our little date place in Ellicott City at 3:30pm today! I wish. Hang in there! If you were able to get through, let alone the first year, but are now beginning your THIRD year teaching in the lovely city that you’re in…you’ll make it today! I’ve had grown man friends not last the first year, so I’m sure you can do it! Lots and lots of love!
XOXO!
Lisette
I agree with everyone above I too would help out and I KNOW you will do fine. Your a fighter and an amazing teacher. Keep your chin up and go be you. Love you MOM
Thanks Momma. Always.
That’s great about your dance club! At least you get a work out in.
This is my first time commenting on your blog! I’m sending lots of positive thoughts in your direction! 🙂
Thanks so much melon for reaching out to me!!! I love and appreciate the support!
aww, I’m sorry that your kids are crazy. Hopefully they’ll behave when they see someone else is in the room watching them.
Don’t feel like you can’t take a blogging break. Sometimes you need time to focus on yourself only. We will miss you, but when you come back, we will still be right here with a welcome party.
I can’t imagine being in a room with 31 kids all by myself… that’s insane but maybe that’s why I didn’t become a teacher. They may drive you insane one day, but I know that other days, they make you proud. Shit is hard these days, but just keep your head up!!! I am here if you ever want to vent…
I took a blogging break once for a couple of months…. it was well worth it.
Thinking of you! xoxo
Hi Mrs. Bear,
I’m your newest follower from the Thumping Thursday blog hop.
I’m so sorry you are so stressed. My grandmother was a teacher for so many years and she used to say the same thing – the kids would break your heart while making you laugh. My heart and respect go out to you.
As for blogging, as with anything else, if it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it, even if it’s today or this week. I took a couple of months off and was glad I did.
Karina
Thanks for your support! I always love hearing I’m not the only teacher out there who feels this way 🙂
Just put one foot in front of the other and do one task at a time. You’ll be ok 🙂
