One of the cutest in my class is little girl who is a refugee from Africa. On Tuesday she told me she saw a real live purple cow at her grandpa’s farm – with big bright eyes and smile from ear to ear she said that she could imagine the purple cow licking her hand because it had happened before – and I almost believed her, until I remembered that there is no such thing as a purple cow.
On Wednesday she told me that her cat ate her homework. She literally looked at me, opened her backpack to show me it was empty, look at me with big sad eyes, and sadly said, “My cat ate my homework.”
What do you even say to that?!
On a personal note…
Mr. Bear says I shouldn’t share this with you… but I thought maybe you needed some pump-up music in the morning. I made a cd (haha, I know you’re thinking “In the age of Satellite Radio who makes cds?”) for my first week of school and these are some of my songs that get me going in the morning. Feel free to borrow any of my ideas from this super duper awesome/sincerely-lame-I-shouldn’t-be-admitting-it playlist:
“Mine” Taylor Swift
“Power” Kanye West”
“Somebody to Love” Justin Beiber ft. Usher
“Ride” Ciara ft. Ludacris
“Lay Me Down” Dirty Heads
“Hottie Tottie” Usher ft. Jay-Z
“Right Above It” Lil Wayne ft. Drake
“In One Ear” Cage the Elephant
“Half of My Heart” John Mayer
Anyone have any songs I can add to this? I am open to all genres (obviously).
P.S. I will be figuring out the SWAP details next week – if you still want in, leave a comment here with your email address and which kind of swappy you want to do .

omg i dont know how you do it! I would be like ok! just give it to me tomorrow… and dont let your purple cow eat it!
Haha! The little girl in your class is too funny. Oh kids and their imaginations!
As for songs: Dynamite by Taio Cruz, I Like It by Enrique Iglesias feat Pitbull, Take It Off by Keesha (normally I majorly dislike her but this song makes me laugh), Club Can’t Handle Me by Flo Rida feat David Guetta, and Billionaire by Travie McCoy
Hope that helps! 🙂
hahaha! She may be telling the truth though! I have bite marks on my syllabus’ from my little terror and he even took a chunk out of a recipe from a magazine one time! Of course, it the measurements for the ingredients because he likes to torture me… 🙂
