wedding weekend.
It’s FINALLY my sister’s wedding weekend!!! I feel like Tine and Dean got engaged five years ago. These love birds have been together since they were in high school, so we have been anxiously awaiting them to make it official. The wedding is on the groom’s family’s property in Killingworth, CT. They own the most beautiful piece of land! Everything for the wedding is pretty much DIY except for the food and flowers. I can’t wait to share pictures!

My family is finally reunited! The wedding rehearsal dinner ran really late and the girls were up way past their bedtime. Can you tell by their faces? We couldn’t believe how well behaved they were considering the change of nighttime routine. The wedding is during the day on Saturday, so I’m not worried about my daughters turning into crazy circus clowns. We also have a friend picking the girls up to babysit once the ceremony is over.
Happy First Day of FALL!
HOORAY! It’s finally FALL! I don’t know how I lucked out that my dress matched the girls’ outfits for the rehearsal dinner, but it did. And so did my spray tan…I couldn’t shower before the events so I looked a little bit like a gingerbread cookie last night.
Maid of Honor wedding duties.
There will be three maid of honor speeches at my sister’s wedding. There are three Maid of Honors for the wedding as her “Very Important Sisters.” Somehow I chose the short straw and have to give my speech last. Both Maids have already written their speeches and I am having trouble figuring out how to close out all the greatness that they say. I work best under pressure, so I’m hoping to get it done today (maybe with a little help from champagne).

The emotions are running on high this wedding weekend. We are headed to the wedding site to put everything together and tonight I’m spending Tine’s last night as a single lady with her drinking Champs and watching Gilmore Girls. The ceremony is at 11:30 tomorrow morning so it will be an early turn in for all. We need our rest for the all day party tomorrow… and I hope I don’t cry too much and ruin my spray tan (right Liz and Tine?)
