My favorites this week all have a theme – NEW ENGLAND. Being able to spend almost two weeks in my favorite region of the country was amazing. When I wasn’t helping my sister with wedding stuff, I tried to enjoy all of the great things New England has to offer.
one. shoreline. I hope I can teach Annabelle to love all of the beautiful places on this Earth. My Mom took us to the beach in Old Saybrook, CT this week – a place I have not been to since I was probably 6 or 7. Crabs, tiny shrimp, low tide pools, and lots of shells were to be found during our adventure and Annabelle loved every second of our time there.
two. seafood.
My Mom and I brought Brandon and Annabelle to Bill’s Seafood by the Singing Bridge in Westbrook. I’ve always been a hot lobster roll fan – but with my sensitivity to dairy, I opted to go with the cold lobster roll so I wasn’t regretting my lunch choice. It was AMAZING.
three. dessert.
I won’t lie – I totally ate homemade ice cream from one of our favorite spots in my hometown last week. Surprisingly, Annabelle just wanted to eat the sprinkles (she knows what’s good for her, while Mommy doesn’t). After our lunch at Bill’s, we grabbed Annabelle’s free dessert – homemade raspberry sorbet!
four. pizza.
There is no better pizza in the U.S. than what you’ll eat in New England. I’ve tried pizza in other states and nothing compares to what I can find in my home state. Whether its a plain cheese, white escarole and bean, or a funky prosciutto, balsamic, fig, and arugula pie – it all needs to get in my belly. Brandon and I eat so much pizza when we go to visit my family its almost disgusting – but each piece is totally worth it.
five. family.
Okay so I couldn’t leave out my family when I am talking about my favorites in New England. I don’t have any group photos back from the photographer, but here are some from my randoms. I am so lucky to have such incredible siblings and parents.

Love the name of your blog! I’m from Northern Ohio- while not too North, it is definitely not the Midwest where I am now. I have never been to New England but I want to go so badly!!
