My Friday Favorites are inspired by the beautiful spring weather this week. Here is what I’m looking to buy now that warm weather is here.
one. afternoon delight.
Now that Mother Nature has her ducks in a row (see ya 30 degree mornings), I am looking for a great outdoor blanket. We’ve started spending some time in the backyard relaxing on a dirty old sheet, but I need something proper for our afternoon picnics. I’m looking for two blankets – one that is soft and colorful and another that’s solid and possibly waterproof. So far I’ve heard to check Walmart, Costco, and Home Goods, and that’s what I shall do this weekend. Do you have a great blanket for outside?
two. sav blanc.
I’ve always been a red wine girl, but lately I’m all about the white. Sauvignon Blanc is my go-to and I’ve been trying all different brands. I’m not one to spend more than $15 on a bottle of wine, so my favorites are usually Kim Crawford or Josh Cellars Sauvignon Blanc. I saw this recipe on Pinterest and want to make it soon.
three. teething relief.
It’s so strange to me that Ailey has been “teething” for three months now without any sign of an actual tooth. Nuby sent us two fun products to review and Ailey is a huge fan of the NanaNubs™ Massager. Sometimes I think she thinks its a real banana…
four. caramel tones.
Come June, it will have been six months since I have had a haircut. My friend Jennifer does my hair… in Connecticut… so I only visit a salon when I go to visit my family. I really need a trim, but just don’t trust anyone around me in Georgia. I have my heart set on Caramel Bayalage when I see her next like the photo above. I know it’s a trend that’s been around for awhile, and it’s perfect for someone who like to let the color grow out (me).
five. photography practice.

See more photos So I’ve been trying my best to learn how to take better photos of my girls… what that means is we spend lots of time having photo shoots. Photography practice is one of my favorites this week because I love some of the pictures I’ve taken. I usually take 100 shots before I find 1 or 2 that work and then I edit the pictures using Picmonkey. Who has tips for becoming a better photographer??

I just got my FabFitFun box and it had a beautiful bight blue circular lawn blanket I can not wait to use! I think we are entering the land of the teething as #babybigtruck2 ALWAYS has her fingers in her mouth I think I need to get her some teething toys. I did pick her up the teething egg. Have you heard of this thing? It’s going in her easter basket.

26 days until I’m not pregnant anymore and can have wine…but who’s counting? And right there with you on the lack of hair cut and color. It’s been since last July since I’ve had anything done to my hair, and it’s getting ridiculous. I just keep putting it off, though, since it’s so hard to find a block of time to get it done.

Awww…I feel so bad when kids are teething! That has to be the worst. Your girls are adorable – that’s awesome you have photography sessions with them. 🙂

We have the this picnic blanket (http://a.co/26UGsoN) in the quatrefoil pattern it’s cute but also thick and can be chunked in the washing machine. I keep saying I need to practice taking good pics of Leighton with the DSLR but it’s so hard to shoot on manual when she moves so much! How do you do it? We’re in the sa,e teething boat she will be 8 months on Wednesday and not a tooth in sight.

The banana teether was a favorite for our middle kiddo! Also, I’m not normally a sauv blanc drinker but that watermelon drink may be enough for me to reconsier…
