Rounding up my Friday Favorites with a peek at Annabelle’s Ballerina Bedroom ballerina murals, a recap of a relaxing holiday weekend, and a surprise Ultrasound photos.
one. a relaxed holiday weekend.
I never got around to blogging about our Fourth of July weekend at home in detail. Since Annabelle and I had been in Connecticut visiting my family the week before the holiday, we decided as a family it would be fun to spend time together at home.
We took a couple trips out of the house – to go swimming with my bff and her family and to look for a new bed for Annabelle – and cooked dinner together every night. We watched at least 10 different fireworks displays from the top of the hill in our neighborhood all over North Georgia on Sunday night – which Annabelle thought was “so beautiful.” Overall it was a Fourth of July to remember!
two. surprise ultrasounds.
We had a surprise ultrasound at the doctor on Thursday after some fun stuff went on last weekend (contractions, cramping, some fluid leaking).
Thankfully everything is looking good – especially our FIVE POUND GIRL! We can’t believe she is measuring at 5lbs because her sister was only 7lbs born at 40 weeks. I still have 6 weeks to go and I am hoping that Baby A is not going to be much bigger.
three. ballerina murals.
One of the Moms from my school is an incredible artist. When we decided we would give Annabelle a new big girl ballerina room, I just had to ask her if she would paint a mural on the walls. She came over yesterday and after allowing Annabelle to choose a dancer from her sketchbook, she appeased Annabelle’s requests for TWO ballerinas instead of just one. We ordered Annabelle’s big girl bed last night and are hunting for a dresser. It’s all going to come together soon!
four. Baby’s First Year
I’m so excited to for the baby book my Mom gave me at my sprinkle last week. I wanted one from the Lucy Darling Shop on Etsy after seeing it on Instagram one day. The book is so colorful, easy to fill out, and has pages for each birthday after her first.
five. sister sister.
I’m working on putting together a few Polyvore boards with outfits that I hope to someday see A and A in – but it has been hard finding newborn and toddler clothes that match! Janie and Jack did not disappoint with their little girl clothing… now if they would just have a big sale we would be set on some adorable coordinating outfits!

Glad you and baby are doing OK! Isn’t it the coolest thing to see them on ultrasound this late in pregnancy? The detail is amazing, even in 2D. And you never know, her weight estimate could be off- we were told our girl was about 6.5 pounds a couple weeks before birth, and she was born at 5lbs 10 oz!
