one. USA World Cup
Yesterday my Mom, Annabelle, and I went to watch USA play Germany in the World Cup at Mellow Mushroom. Granted USA lost, they still advanced to the next round! Next Tuesday they play Belgium at 4pm. I don’t think I will be out anywhere watching the game, but Annabelle and I will surely be cheering on our country from the comfort of our living room!
two. blackened shrimp tacos
These were SO delicious and the easiest to make… I took the shrimps tails off, deveined them, and then let them sit in cold salty water in the fridge for an hour. I drained them, coated them with Cajun’s Choice Blackened Seasoning, and cooked them in a tablespoon of melted Earth Balance Butter in a hot cast iron skillet. The taco has roasted asparagus, shrimps, raw broccoli slaw, fresh avocado chunks, and a teensy bit of salsa. Mmm mmm mmm.
three. crab dresses
My Mom found the MOST adorable crab dress for Annabelle to wear when we go to Cape Cod at a shop here in Georgia. With actual rope straps and the cutest buttons on the back, I just know Annabelle is going to look precious. We also bought the matching diaper cover with a crab on the tush. The dress is by Mud Pie.
four. wine aerator
The other night my Mom opened a bottle of wine and asked if I had an aerator… I asked, “Why?” of course, and she replied, “They make the wine taste a million times better.” So we picked up this little diddy at Publix for $9.99 and holy smokes, it works! I poured a regular glass and then one I had aerated and was amazed by the difference in taste. I mean, I always knew if you let your wine breathe a little it is better, but this handy dandy tool does the trick.
five. Sophie the Giraffe
Ahhh the elusive Sophie. The $23 squeaky teether all babies love for some crazy reason. We finally picked up a Sophie for Annabelle. She loves to lick her feets and eat her head. When we squeak her, Annabelle’s eyes get HUGE and then she grabs for it. It’s quite cute.
Ahhhh the crab dress is adorable!! I love that your family is from Connecticut too!! We’re going to cape cod but not until November ha. Have a great time babe!

OMG. That dress. SO CUTE!!!!!!!!! Weston is a huge fan of Sophie as well – but we returned the squeaky one because the dogs would have destroyed her in 5 seconds. HAHAHA

Did Annabelle grab her other teether toys? Beckett has no interest in other toys (rattles, teethers, etc.). He likes chewing on his pacifier (even the wrong side of it) and he likes chewing on the ribbons on one of his sensory toys. I’m hesitant to drop so much money on a Sophie because I’m not sure if he’d even hold onto it.
