I don’t know if any of my readers are in college… but if you are then maybe you can relate to this post. If you AREN’T… think back about when you were in school and a time that you worked REALLY REALLY hard on something and got a crappy grade.
I have been going to two classes 3.5 hours once a week for my State Teaching Certification. These classes are long, packed with information, and DIFFICULT. We have crazy assignments due all the time and never any time to do them, for we all are first year teachers with a lot on our plates.
With that being said… all year I have busted my butt on papers for one of these classes and NEVER received the highest grade – skillful. I had been feeling pretty defeated and wondering how in heck I am going to get a passing score my portfolio if I can’t get a skillful on a flippin paper. I am an English Lit major… I should be able to write papers.
I FINALLY SCORED SKILLFUL!
Anyways, I just received my last grade for my last paper and guess what… I FINALLY SCORED SKILLFUL!!! I am so happy right now!!!
I now have a little bit of confidence in myself that I can have a great portfolio. The 15 hours I worked on it last weekend didn’t put a dent in it, so that just means less Preakness fun this weekend, and more portfolio work.
Congrats! My cooperating teacher for student teaching last semester was finishing her masters at the same time! There is a crazy amount of work, on top of teaching! Congrats on the excellent work!
Yeah for you! My husband is a teacher, so I know how tough the courses are! 🙂
YAY! Congrats girl!!!! 🙂
Congrats! I remember working on my portfolio. I hated every second of it!! But the feeling when its finally done is just the BEST!
