Yesterday we officially started our 2015. -2026 school year! First year in five years I wasn’t nervous, and didn’t take a picture. I am waiting until I can stand outside my new classroom.
In case you missed it, I am teaching third grade this year! I have a group of 13 funny, smart, and adorable students. We kicked off the year with a field trip (unconventional, I know) due to our building not being quite yet ready for us. Today we are in our old building and starting on curriculum, but its all the third grade in one room and definitely a little bit of a challenge. It’s nothing my teammate and I can’t handle though! I just feel lucky and blessed to have a position at my incredible school so I cannot complain about a thing.
Annabelle started baby school full time yesterday! She didn’t cry a drop when I left her at the breakfast table for the first time this year. It was such a great feeling knowing she was happy and comfortable with me going to work. She actually says, “Mommy work, Annabelle school” as soon as we pull into baby school now. I mentioned last week how much her vocabulary has grown and it is constantly changing. I know that it will blossom even more at baby school.
I’ve seen my Facebook and Instagram feed explode with pictures of kiddos starting their first day of _____. I know Annabelle will be in preschool in what feels like a heartbeat, so I am (of course) trying to slow down time. It’s my belief that you can make anything feel like it is lasting awhile if you put your mind to it.

Only 13 classroom size. How lovely. My son’s second grade classroom has 24 I believe. Have a ridiculously amazing school year.
