One of my favorite treats is a slice of banana bread topped with butter. I like to add chocolate chips every now and then to my recipe, to elevate the taste and give it something special. Enjoy my easy Chocolate Chip Banana Bread recipe.
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil OR 1/2 cup applesauce
2 cups bananas, mashed
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
2 loaf pans
2. Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Beat sugar and eggs with a whisk until light and bubbly.
3. Drizzle in oil. Whisk until mixed thoroughly.
4. Add mashed bananas and vanilla. Whisk until thick. Fold in dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
5. Pour the batter evenly between two greased loaf pans.
