I took my fifth dance class last night and I am in L-O-V-E with Dance 101. Not only has every class I have taken been amazing – but all of the teachers are sweet as can be. On the side I have been practicing ballet and yoga, hopefully strengthening my arms and legs, so I can try the more difficult classes when my body is strong enough.
On another note, I am also in L-O-V-E with So You Think You Can Dance already…and last night was only the second episode. The dancers who try out that are there just to be on t.v. are of course funny and entertaining, but when Fox spends too much time following around some buzzard whose speciality is the Tony style or Electric, I get mad. I wish the audition episodes followed more people who can actually dance.
I am definitely one of those people who can get teary-eyed and goose-bumpy from a dance number (remember “Why”by Ivan and Allison on Season 2?? I was a weepy mess). Last night there were more than one audition that caught me off guard and made me cry… of course Mr. H burst in during one of the numbers (Caitlin in the gray outfit whose sister made it in Miami) and he laughed at me for being a baby…but I just can’t keep myself from getting emotional when I see a dancer who aside from having incredible technique, he/she really feels the music and owns their dance.

Hey there! Thanks for your sweet comments 🙂
A charm cake is basically a cake you have at your bridesmaid luncheon, where each b-maid pulls a ribbon that has a charm attached to it. The charms are baked into the cake and are all different. Then they each get a charm that tells them something about them…for example, one of my girls picked an eiffel tower, which means they will have a life of travel. It’s just a fun little Southern thing to do, but we loved it!

I completely agree with you about being moved by dance. I danced for over 10 years as a child, and I’d love to take an adult dance class!

I watched some of So You Think You Can Dance last night. Honestly I didn’t enjoy it, mainly because there were more funny embaressing dances than really good ones. That’s why I never get into American Idol until the end. I just want to see the good stuff and not cringe in embaressment for the people that sadly are not so good. I’m so glad you’re classes are going so well.
