one. birthday weekend.
I’m turning 31 tomorrow, and while I am not too excited about the number, I am thrilled about our plans for celebrating my birth. We are going to dinner at Pricci tonight in Atlanta and then out for drinks with some friends.
Before dinner though, Brandon’s dropping me off at Drybar! With the lovely fall weather we have going on here, I am excited to have someone do my hair for me. Who in the world thinks 90 degrees at the end of September is acceptable?
Tomorrow we are going out to brunch with some friends, watching the Tenn v FL game at our place, and either grilling out or making pizzas. My in-laws are driving in to celebrate with us and help out with the kiddos. I am so grateful for Nana and Grandpa Dan!

Annabelle and I can’t figure out how her Daddy got Mcmuffin to pose for this birthday card. It couldn’t have been more perfect for the occasion.

After opening the card, a tiny girl flew by me last night carrying a giant orange bag singing, “Happy Birthday.”
four. this early birthday gift.
Never did I think that Brandon was actually listening to me when I said I wanted this bag! I actually saved my money to buy it myself, but over the last couple of weeks, he has been trying to talk me out of buying it. Of course, it all makes sense now that I know he had been planning to surprise me with the purse. His original plan was to wait for Christmas morning, but when I started saying I was going to pick one out on my birthday, he knew he had to act fast.

I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now and I love it! I often avoid “Mum blogs” (oops – “Mom”! – I’m from Australia!) because some of them seem, to me, to be very obsessed with their children and I think because I don’t have kids yet those never really interested me! BUT – your blog is a really refreshing read to me… I’m not sure what’s different, but I enjoy the way you write about your family and also include your own personal things (i.e. Friday Favourites aren’t always just about your kids). So I appreciate this!
I am now expecting my own baby at Christmas-time 🙂
