My least favorite room in our house is the downstairs bathroom. The only thing we have done since we moved in is remove the wallpaper border and prime the walls. From the ugly tile to the outdated light and sink fixtures, the small bathroom desperately needs a makeover.

Floors: Since it is an expensive project to remove and replace floor tile, I want to paint the grout and apply floor tile stickers.
Walls: I’m torn between stick on wallpaper and paint. I know that I want blue tones somewhere in the room, whether it is paint on the walls or wallpaper.
Console: We have to price out the removal of our giant bathroom vanity and compare it to the cost of replacing the countertop/sink. Either way, the bathroom console must go.
Light Fixtures: I’m so excited to work with Kichler Lighting again to replace the pendant lights hanging over the bathroom console.

Okay, remodeling your downstairs bathroom is the quarantine activity I didn’t know I needed! I somehow became very invested in this post. Can you hire me as creative director? Will work for friendship! I can’t wait to follow along as this happens! Quick note (it’s not my house so, you do YOU): I like the navy mirror and keeping the rope details to accents on the drawer handles and towel hangers. The room will be light except for the dresser. I like having one more thing in there that pulls out the navy tone ?

I would advise selecting 1 or 2 pieces you really like and building from there..ie a light fixture or mirror or both. When I first met my husband I was taken (and not in a favorable way) with some red flocked wallpaper his mother had in her home as it seemed to over power every other design piece she attempted to use. Paint is so versatile. You have some great colors on that palate you displayed. If it were my bathroom I would be considering one of those. Your room will appear larger.
