I’m so excited to share Our 2020 Holiday Home Tour! I hope you enjoy our Connecticut home decorated for Christmas.
Decorating for Christmas is a huge event in our family. We spend a few days turning our home into a winter wonderland, trimming the tree, and adding twinkly lights to the outside of our house. Since will be home for the holidays, we added a few more Christmas decorations to our collection this year. I love the mixture of nostalgic pieces – our family tree – and classic Christmas items – the ceramic nativity. I hope you enjoy our holiday home tour!
The Living Room Holiday Edition
The Kitchen Christmas Edition
This year is the first I’ve ever used real garland in my home. I’ve always worried the garland would die before Christmas, but so far it’s holding up so well! I love how gorgeous and natural it looks combined with twinkly lights as it hangs above the breakfast bar.
The Powder Room
The downstairs bathroom is one of my favorite rooms in the house. We recently renovated the bathroom this fall. I am very excited to show how we used minimal Christmas decorations to create a festive space.
The Girls’ Christmas Bedroom
This is the first year we added a little Christmas cheer to the girls’ bedroom. They have twinkly lights, flannel Christmas sheets, and a little tree to brighten their spirits. Next year we hope to add more Christmas decor!
The Family Room
Our family spends most of our time in the front fireplace room in our home. It’s connected to the playroom and houses our real Christmas tree. The real wood burning fireplace is a staple during the holiday season, as is the television above for all of our favorite Christmas movies.
The Playroom
The girls love to decorate their playroom for Christmas every year. With garland around the windows, homemade hand-painted Christmas canvases, and their very own flocked tree set on a bet of fake snow – the playroom is merry and bright.
Our Outdoor Christmas Decorations
The breezeway to our home changes a little bit every year. The first Christmas in our home we added a beautiful antique sled that’s now a staple each season.

I just love your tree! So many people overdo it, but I love the more simple style (it’s what my tree looks like, too!)
