Today I’m sharing a weekend update of our kid free night out and an update on Ailey’s baby sleeping habits. Enjoy reading what we did together over the weekend.
Weekend Update: Thank goodness for in-laws.
My husband’s parents came down from Tennessee to help out with Ailey at night for the weekend, so we were able to sneak away to Chops Lobster Bar in Atlanta.
The chef was amazing and accommodated my new allergy. I had a fish special that was out of this world – if I could remember the type of fish I’d tell you, but it was served with fingerling potatoes, artichokes, and sundried tomatoes in a balsamic reduction.
Brandon ate a bone in rib eye that even I enjoyed. I tried a Chardonnay that I hope to find in our package stores – Black Stallion from Sonoma Valley. Normally I’m not a Chardonnay type of girl, but our server recommended it.
Ailey’s Sleeping Habits Revealed
Unfortunately, Ailey decided since we went out to dinner she wouldn’t sleep Saturday night. My in-laws were both up with her for a few hours. She caught up on her sleep Sunday, but I did not. No matter how hard I try to nap these days, my body won’t let me. One would think with how little sleep I actually get that it would be easy. Ailey is wearing the Merlin Sleep Suit which helps about 50% with her sleep habits.
Ailey doesn’t look like a baby with terrible sleeping habits.
Sunday afternoon was PERFECT for a park adventure. I haven’t been to the park with Brandon and Annabelle since Ailey was born. I think Ailey enjoyed the fresh air and sun.
A family trip to the park wouldn’t be complete without a family picture caught on the self-timer. I love this picture but hate that it’s such poor quality. We were the only people at the park (yah!) so I’ll take it.
I can’t believe how brave Annabelle has become over the last few months. She used to be terrified of big slides and now goes down them alone. She also climbed over a few parts on the park equipment (while Brandon stood behind her). She has definitely inherited her Mommy and Daddy’s fear of heights.
After the park, Ailey decided it was time to try some peas. I don’t know if they reacted well to her stomach since we were up quite a few times with gas though… the poor girl can’t catch a break.
