I’d be a hypocrite if I said that I always followed my own advice – but today I am going to do it. I am going to repeat these little mantras and remind myself of all that is great around me. Last week was challenging. Adjusting to our new schedule has not been easy (think: no one is sleeping) and the traffic makes me want to tear my eyelashes out. There were some big changes at my school and if I said I wasn’t stressed about them, I would be lying. I am thankful for my family and friends who’ve supported me, and the tiny human who loves me unconditionally – she is inspiration enough to let it all go.
There is truth in these sayings – someone else is always happy with less than what I have. Not that my current situation has me wanting more, it’s just my Mom always tells me to be grateful for my life because there are many who are less fortunate than me.
I know everyone deals with stress in different ways. I like to talk through it because if I were to keep anything bottled up inside, I feel like I would explode. How do you move past a crummy week? Do you use inspirational quotes? Do you pray? Do you reach out to friends/family or keep to yourself? What do you do to move forward?
