I’m sharing details of my pregnancy at 36 weeks. Enjoy this summary of my 36 week bump update summarizing weight gain, cravings, baby’s development and more!
How far along are you? 36 weeks… 9 months?!?
How I’m feeling: A lot of cramps and pressure going on… body is getting ready for baby I guess.
Signs of labor: Cramping, random contractions, back ache. As of Wednesday, the doctor said I am 1cm dilated and 30% effaced.
Total weight gain: Apparently I lost 3 lbs … most likely muscle loss since I’ve stopped exercising.
Cool baby facts: Annabelle is getting ready for her arrival – heads down and arms out! Most of her ‘systems’ are ready to work in the real world, except for her digestive system – that will start working once she starts drinking milk.
Stretch Marks: None that I can see. Thank YOU Bio Oil, Cocoa Butter, and Belly Jelly.
How big is baby? Annabelle is the size of a watermelon!
Sleep: I didn’t think it was possible for me to have to go to the bathroom MORE than 3 times a night – but it is possible. I am still waking up feeling dehydrated and guzzling water at all hours. I’ve also added a nap into my day.
Maternity Clothes: It’s all I wear on the bottom – on top I play around with what I have in my closet.
Best pregnancy moment this week
Ordering Annabelle’s rocker, finding out the custom printed outlet covers for her nursery have FINALLY been shipped after 6 weeks, knowing all of our hospital bags are packed!
Movement: They range from slow to quick spasm like movements. Her arms and legs are always sticking out of my belly.
Food cravings: Nothing out of the ordinary – most foods give me heartburn lately and my prescription isn’t helping.
Food aversions: Nothing
What I miss: Being able to go to the gym – the doctor has said I need to rest and all I want to do is go to dance class.
What I’m looking forward to: Christmas decorating. This weekend!! Oh and of course… meeting our little girl.. 27 days (or less) to go!
Randoms: Annabelle has the hiccups like 2 times a day – it was cute in the beginning, but now my belly spasms for 15 minutes from the poor little thing hiccuping away! I try to rub her little back and tush (its on my left side), but it doesn’t help.

Emily used to get the hiccups alllll the time when I was pregnant, and she kept getting them after she was born! Tip for later: breast milk cures them! I’m shocked your doctor told you to rest. I went for a 2-mile run two days before Emily was born! You’re getting so close and you look fabulous!! So exciting!!

I have no idea! It’s so weird. We went out to eat and I asked for a big glass of water and the waitress was like, “OH, I remember you. You’re really thirsty”. It was embarrassing. Haha. She brought me like 12 waters!
