In November, Brandon and I took our first adults-only vacation since Annabelle was born. I was so nervous to leave our almost two year old, but knew she was in her Nana’s loving and protective hands. We spent our sixth wedding anniversary in Napa for three wonderful days. Upon multiple recommendations, we booked a night at the Andaz Napa in downtown Napa and loved every second of our stay.
Our Stay in Napa at the Andaz Napa
If you’re looking for a modern, classy, but unique boutique hotel to spend the night in downtown Napa, you must check out Andaz. The location is ideal as it is in walking distance from a variety of restaurants and fun boutiques. All of the vineyards we were visiting were just an Uber ride away.
Greeted with the most delicious Bloody Mary and Mimosa upon our arrival, check-in was a piece of cake. We sat on their comfy couch in the lobby and chatted with the sweetest girl. She hit a few buttons on her iPad, Brandon swiped his card, and we were free to relax with our cocktails or check out our room.
The lobby is one of the most unique I’ve ever set foot in. Complete with a map of Napa on one wall, a beautiful tree on another, and a bright, enticing bar, one could spend hours in the warm sunlight that shines through their front doors.
The Rooms at the Andaz Napa
Since we upgraded to a balcony, we couldn’t wait to see our room and headed upstairs. The hallways are dark, mysterious, and romantic. When we entered our room, we were blown away with the size, decor, and beautiful white light flooding the room.
We ordered another round of drinks and sat on the balcony overlooking downtown Napa. We could have hosted a small gathering out there – it was ginormous! The chaise lounge chairs were extremely comfortable and Brandon used the free wifi to watch football on our laptop in the afternoon sun.
The concierge at Andaz Napa is quite possibly the most accommodating and fun staff I have ever. They found out it was our anniversary from one of my Tweets and after asking a few questions, learned our favorite drinks.
The concierge snuck them into our room while we were out to dinner. It was such a wonderful surprise to find awaiting at the bar. A little bubbly for me and a little whiskey for my guy! My Mom also sent a charcuterie platter and bottle of wine to us in honor of our 6 years together. What a perfect nightcap!
Our stay at Andaz was so memorable.
Brandon and I decided if we (which we plan to) ever make it back to Napa, we will stay at the Andaz for a longer period of time. Their roof top bar looked so amazing, but we never made it there since we had so many goodies in our room to enjoy after dinner. All of the non-alcoholic drinks and snacks at the in-room bar were free of charge, so we had snacks when we woke up really early in the morning. One thing I regret not doing was taking a picture of the bathroom. The large marble room was absolutely stunning with double sinks and a huge walk-in waterfall shower.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Napa, I highly recommend the Andaz Napa. Book a room as soon as you know you’re going, because they fill up fast! If you’re celebrating a special event, don’t hesitate to tell the concierge – they will treat you like King and Queen. Thank you again for everything Andaz!
