My family is so excited to share our stay at this beautiful Cape Cod house at Ocean Edge in Brewster, MA.
Where to Stay for A Weekend in Brewster, MA
Brewster, Massachusetts is a charming town located on Cape Cod. Its picturesque beaches, rich history, and natural beauty make it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway. When the host of a new Airbnb listing on Cape Cod reached out with an invitation to visit, my family quickly started packing our bags. How could we turn down a trip to our favorite place? I connected with the host a few years ago when we rented her beautiful home in Chatham, so I knew this recently renovated home would be just as wonderful.

The “house with the pink door” is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in the Villages at Ocean Edge. It comfortably sleeps 8 with two decent sized bedrooms – one King and one Queen – and a large loft with four single beds. There are two full bathrooms, one with a must-have bathtub for our tubby loving toddler. The house is equipped with everything a family needs for a stay on the Cape: a fully stocked kitchen, fresh linens and bath towels, washer/dryer, and a pack-n-play. There is plenty of space to spread out on the quiet patio or in the living room in front of the Frame TV.
The home is beautifully adorned with modern coastal artwork and decor – but so kid friendly! Everything our toddler wanted to touch and play with was conveniently out of reach. Each room is uniquely decorated, which makes you feel at home, but also away at the same time.
Where to Eat in Brewster
Our host, Katie, was a great help while planning our weekend and had excellent restaurant recommendations. The house has a gorgeous kitchen with all the amenities for cooking a nice meal. However, we opted to order take-out, which is the easiest way to dine with three busy children!
The kitchen has a great window seat where our toddler liked to enjoy her snacks and watch the birds. I found it the perfect space for breakfast or sipping a cup of coffee in the morning. I would have loved to prepare a beach vacation dinner in the kitchen while watching my children play in the living room. The peek-a-boo space under the kitchen cabinets allows the cook to still interact with others in the living space!
The dining space opens into the living space – which also allows family and friends to spread out. There is seating for six at the table; the host provides table cloths, placemats, and beautiful dishes to set the table for a nice meal together. Want to dine outside? The home has a great outdoor dining area as well. There is a grill on the patio and a seating area, plus a grassy space for kids to run and play.
Our Brewster Restaurant Picks
For breakfast our family of early risers drove 10 minutes to the only place open before 7:00am: Dunkin Donuts. There are lots of breakfast and coffee places within driving distance though. After a morning of swimming in the Arbor Pool, we would order lunch at the Shark Bah. Finally, dinner was from Stoneloven Pizza (highly recommend!) or JT’s Seafood (the Lobster Roll is delicious!). If you want to take a quick ride to eat by the beach, the Sesuit Harbor Cafe has incredible food!
Looking for more dining options around Brewster? Chatham has a lot of wonderful restaurants: Mac’s Seafood, Sweet Tomato Pizza, Bluefin’s Sushi, Hanger B Eatery (breakfast), The Corner Store, and Chatham Cookware.
What to Do in Brewster
This “Rare Ocean Edge House” is conveniently located within The Villages at Ocean Edge Resort. The Resort offers many amenities and activities, which are accessible with a guest pass purchased through the homeowner. There are multiple pools, tennis and pickle ball courts, golf, cardio center, children’s activities, and a wonderful playground.
My family had access to the resort during our stay, so we didn’t travel off property. This was convenient with a busy toddler who thrives on a nap in her own space. We spent the majority of our day at the Arbor Pool and evenings playing in low tide at the bay beach*. Our daughters loved the children’s playground with giant wooden pirate ship and the “Dive In Movie” at the pool! We could walk to the pool and playground from our house if we wanted, but opted to drive.
*Note: Guests cannot access the beach at Ocean Edge unless they are staying on the Mansion property. However, we were able to visit due to my connection to the resort. There are many beautiful bay beaches in Brewster, such as Ellis Landing which is right next to the Ocean Edge beach.
