I am so excited that I have today off (thanks to our great Presidents). I have a lot to do today: our house needs to be cleaned, papers need grading, some lace shorts need to be returned to Urban Outfitters, and the grocery store is calling my name. I also hope to find a Capitals t-shirt for the hockey game we are going to this weekend (my first NHL game ever!).
We made it pajama themed and B and Muffs helped me cook. We listened to the Dean Martin Pandora station and drank a little Mark West. I made Panne Cotta (baked escarole, beans, bread) as an appetizer. For the main course we feasted on shrimp in a tomato cream sauce over fettuccine, pan seared scallops, and prosciutto wrapped asparagus on the side. It was SO delicious.
The rest of our weekend was pretty low key. We went to the gym Saturday and Sunday (go us!), ate leftovers on Sat night, and Sunday we went to watch the Capitals v Rangers game at a local bar.
Oh, I also sort of bought a domain for my blog.
There will be some changes around here very soon!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
I am going to finish my coffee and get started on my to-do list!

I hope you enjoy the hockey game! We used to go to Atlanta Thrashers games, but they are no longer in Atlanta. π
