A new week is here! I’m sharing a weekend recap of our visit to my husband’s family’s house on Lake Lanier, a baseball themed birthday party, and family photos.
Boat Ride!
We love spending time on Lake Lanier in Georgia with my in-laws.
Annabelle cracks us up every time we head to the boat on Lake Lanier with her “Boat Ride!” announcement like a cruise entertainment director. Annabelle got in the lake for the first time, while Ailey and I watched from the boat.
The girls have loved going out on the boat. Unfortunately on this occasion they both ended up tired and cranky mid-ride, insisting that I was the only one to hold them. At one point I had both of them in my arms and let me tell you – they’re heavy. And wiggly. I spent quite a bit of time down below on the boat with the girls. You can literally see my glow from stress, hah.
If you follow my Instagram Stories you saw that we were sitting in my car at the marina for quite awhile… we actually had to race back to shore as a huge storm was rolling in, but we made it to the car just in time to watch the trees whip around.
P.S. I’ve never been a fan of muscle tanks but my new Healthy, Wild & Free from Hyperbiotics is awesome. I can wear it with my favorite jean shorts OR just as a swimsuit cover-up.
Family Photo Session
My amazing friend, photographer Lauren Humphries, came over Sunday morning to snap some photos of our little family at the house. We haven’t had professional pictures taken since Ailey was born and I really wanted some of all of us around the house. I really love outdoor family photos, but the lifestyle ones inside the home are my favorite. If you’re in the North Georgia/Forsyth area looking for a photographer, be sure to contact Lauren!
Baseball Themed First Birthday Party
It’s so crazy that my best friend’s son turned one last week! I feel like it was just yesterday she texted me in the middle of the night that she was finally in full-blown labor. She had been having contractions for a whole day while we were teaching together at school before things got serious enough to go to the hospital.
Baby Ryan was born on May 12th! We celebrated Ryan turning one with a baseball themed birthday party on Sunday. His Momma in an amazing DIY-er and the decorations, party favors, and food were just so creative and fun. I totally need her to help me with Ailey’s first birthday come this August.
We are hopefully meeting up with Kim and her kiddies today for a little crafting fun. Annabelle has been begging to do another hand/foot print paint activity with Lia (Kim’s daughter) like the handprint bunnies we made for Easter.
I hope everyone has a fantastic Monday – I’m already on my second cup of coffee but it’s only because it tastes so good. Thankfully the girls are in great moods (knock on wood) this morning and I’m hoping it lasts all day!
