Ah Monday… so lovely to see you again so soon. Here is a baby watch weekend recap, featuring everything we did to distract my overdue pregnant sister from going crazy.
Not.
Pregnant Sister Watch
We spent the baby watch weekend trying to distract my sister from the fact that she is almost 41 weeks pregnant with no signs of labor. I remember all too well the feeling at the end of a pregnancy. It’s terrible to be beyond uncomfortable and tired of people asking if the baby is here yet. My pregnant sister is more calm than I ever was and in much better spirits.
On Saturday when we went to my cousins’ son’s first birthday party. Wyatt is ten days younger than Ailey and just as wild as she is. He doesn’t believe in sleeping through the night, has his own agenda that involves dangerous activities, and is so adorable it’s hard to ever get mad at him.
It’s so crazy to think when the baby watch ends there will be another cousin in the group.
I love watching Ailey and Wyatt play side-by-side. They haven’t really discovered each other yet as they’re in the “we are the only babies in the universe” phase.
Annabelle and Reese, the big sisters, are best friends though. Annabelle and Reese could play together for hours upon hours.
We enjoyed the beautiful weather and a little bit of chill in the air, as well as the time spent with family. It’s crazy to think next weekend will begin one of my favorite months of the year. And to think my niece might just be waiting to have a September birthday like her Auntie, Uncle, and cousin.
On Sunday I finally went to buy new make-up. Since I don’t really wear much, it’s rare that I need to shop for it. However I ran out of bronzer. I love the PUR line, especially this new compact which is a blush, bronzer, and eye shadow all in one.
Ever since I grabbed a Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo travel spray I have wanted to their other products. I bought Beach Babe Moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, and a texturizing hairspray. I also picked up dry shampoo (b/c I hate to wash my hair) and a new round brush for blow drying my hair straight.
How long will the baby watch last?
I don’t know what this week may hold for us. Perhaps there will be some house hunting, a possible visit from Daddy in a few days, and the birth of my niece. Tomorrow I have a really fun collaboration to share with Polaroid. On Wednesday I’m sharing Ailey’s watermelon themed birthday party decor.
Head HERE to see when the new baby finally arrives!
Sounds like a fun weekend! I hope your sister has the baby soon!
