Cheers to the start of my wedding recap! Tonight while Mr. Bear watches the Falcons on Monday night football, and my famous delicious chicken pesto pizza bubbles away in the oven, I am going to start at the beginning of our crazy wedding weekend: Wednesday October 14, 2009.
Actually let’s go jump all the way back to Tuesday around 5pm when I rushed home from work with a tickle in my throat and a hot chill running up and down my spine. Mr. Bear told me it was probably all in my head and that there was no way I could have the flu just days before our wedding. WELL HE WAS WRONG. He tucked me in that night with some Tylenol Sore Throat Nighttime, a kiss on my forehead, and a little prayer for good health in the morning. I woke up Wednesday morning achy, sore, and sick as a dog. We both couldn’t believe I was sick, but vowed it would not stop us from having the best weekend of our lives! While I rested on the couch at home – my wedding dress hung out at a table at Bradley Airport in Hartford, CT with my sister L and cousin S.
Once I felt strong enough to peel myself off of the couch, we packed up Mr. Bear’s car and blasted off for Destin, Florida late Wednesday afternoon.
Believe it or not the back we filled the back of his XL Denali with wedding stuff -gifts, wine, favors, etc. (We actually returned with quite a lot less than we left with!)
In the car and ready to go! Can you tell I am sick?
Five and a half hours later we were at Camille’s with our maid of honor – L
And my mom, cousin, bff, and some friends toasting to our marriage!!! (I may be holding a shot glass but I definitely did NOT drink!).
Hello S!
After a delicious dinner of pizza and sushi (sounds weird but was rather tasty) at Camille’s Restaurant at our (Beachside) Inn, Mr. Bear and I headed to bed, while the rest of our guests hung out all night long! We had to get up early Thursday morning to get our marriage license, greet our guests, and play on the beach!
