There can be so much symbolism in wedding dress details.
I am absolutely in love with my wedding dress for so many reasons. One in particular is that the bodice and train of my wedding dress is stunning because of the ivory ivy beading. I call the beading pattern “ivory ivy” because it looks like an ivy plant, but ivory instead of green. It simply resembles beautiful ivy you may find growing on the side of a building or over a garden gate.
The ivy bead details remind me of Ireland and the herb/rose garden my Grandma Mary kept in her backyard when I was little. Wearing a dress with this detailing brings up a lot of sentimental emotions. My Grandma Mary passed away when I was seven, but I will pretend she is there with me on my special day.
