A Washington DC Bachelorette party is the main feature of my Friday Favorites. Read all about the best moments from my sister’s bachelorette party.
flower crowns and bed coats.
I mean the only way to appropriately do a Washington D.C. Bachelorette Party is to spend your first happy hour at the Kimpton Mason and Rook’s Rooftop Pool. You also must be wearing a flower crown (made by the Mom of the Groom) and a bed coat. Mason and Rook has free beer and wine from 5-6 for guests every day. It’s an incredible amenity! Oh and don’t forget the groom himself…
paper Dean for the bachelorette party.
A bachelorette party is not complete without a PAPER GROOM. He really made his rounds, Mr. Paper Dean. From the National Mall to the Cherry Blossom Pop Up Bar to the WWII Memorial, Paper Dean found himself all over D.C.. One of the best moments was when his Mom caught some girls snapping a photo of him while we walked around the city. She thankfully reminded them he was taken.
the bachelorette’s moment with Julia.
The main reason we went to the National Museum of American History was so the bride could see Julia Childs’ kitchen. She had a great time hanging out with Jules talking about roasting chicken and stuff.
the bride’s girl gang.
The bride wasn’t really interested in matching shirts for our group until she came across the Girl Gang idea. She isn’t monogram kind of girl, so these Girl Gang t-shirts were perfect. We had our friend Molly from The Thought Counts make us Girl Gang shirts to wear around D.C. and they were a huge hit! Paper Dean even approved.
the bachelorette PARTY details
My favorite part about Tine’s Washington D.C. bachelorette party had to be the fact I was able to really feel carefree for a few days. I’ve been more stressed out than I let on here about life, so being able to spend time with my favorite ladies was exactly what I needed.
If you have children, then you understand what I’m saying. Sometimes a Mom needs to let her clean hair down a little, throw her hands in the air, and say bad words without worrying who is listening.
P.S. The pantsuit romper was a HIT. It might be my favorite thing in the closet right now and I have no clue when I’ll get to wear it again.

I know exactly what you mean! I’m going away with a girlfriend on Saturday and I can’t wait! It’ll be my first time leaving the little one overnight (and he’s six months).

Oh and if you ever want to write a blog post filled with all the curses you don’t say around the girls, I would probably pee my pants laughing at that 😛
